Australian Ice Tabogganing

Australian ice tobogganing is so much fun. You go really fast but its scary too all at the same time. Here is how I did the ice tobogganing.

I was invited too a friends birthday party. We went to a park for the party where there was a big and small hill. We first started with the small hill, then we went on the big hill.

Australian ice tobogganing is when you go on a block of ice with a string going through it. You then go on top of a hill, sit on the block of ice, and then you go down the hill. At first its hard, but when you have done it a few times it’s actually quite easy.

It is so much different to Canadian tobogganing on snow.

So that’s what Australian ice tobogganing is.

No fear of frostbite with ‘Australian’ tobogganing eh? So glad you got to do this Caleb. And guess what? I’ve NEVER done ‘Australian’ tobogganing, so good on you for beating me to it.

Hi Caleb, wow that looks like fun!

Since I live in Canada and have never seen Ice tabogganing before I have a few questions for you. Doesn’t your bum get cold and how many times did you get to slide down the hill before the block of ice melted?

Wow Caleb – that looks like so much fun! Your dad sent me a video of you doing this a while ago. At that time I sent him a reply “Taboganning down the hill like a true Canadian!”. Like Tara, I also want to know what you do to keep your bottom warm.
    Love you Caleb,

Caleb will be back on here soon to reply to the comments…. but for now, I can answer in part by saying that Aussie bottoms don’t need to be kept warm. A block of ice to an Aussie bottom in the middle of summer is simply divine. Haha!
