I wrote this story at school this year (2013).
Once upon a time there was a devil in the outback. There was also a dingo, a bandy-bandy snake and a kookaburra.
It was in the morning when the kookaburra laughed and everyone woke up. The dingo was very angry because the devil was on top of him, and the the bandy-bandy snake was under a rock ready to see what will happen next.
All of a sudden, the dingo started chasing the devil. The devil didn’t now what to do, so he just started running this way and that. After an hour of running the devil decided to give up. The devil just stopped dead in its tracks and so the dingo came up too the devil.
All at once the dingo started tearing the devil apart, or at least he thought he was. The dingo was actually adding spikes to the devil. Once the dingo thought that he had killed the devil, the devil rose and started chasing the dingo away. The kookaburra and the bandy-bandy snake started cracking them self up really hard and loud too.
So that’s how the thorny devil got his spikes.
The End

An interesting story Caleb…………….is it based on the Dreamtime stories or is it an original story from you Caleb?
Lots of good detail too.
Keep up the good work…………….what will your next blog be about I wonder?

I loved reading this story Caleb. So many different animals than we have here in Canada but you described them so well I felt I was right there.
Thanks for supplying me with new reading material 🙂
